About This Role
The Specialist, Business Development will be responsible for developing concept notes and quality project proposals with necessary financials. The position has to work closely with Thematic specialists and BD team to significantly contribute towards strengthening ChildFund Indias program portfolio and grant revenue targets from external donors.
Required Experience And Education
- Post-graduation in Development Studies /Social Science/ MBA.
- At least five years of relevant experience of development of projects and working in the areas of childrens issues such as health, education, youth, Livelihood, skills
- Track record of securing large grants from corporate commitment and of sustaining a portfolio of corporate relationships.
- A high degree of business awareness to understand the needs of corporate supporters and present fundraising opportunities effectively
- To research and identify prospects, develop relationships & nurture networks to build and maintain a pipeline of prospects
- To contribute for continuous improvement of identifying, tracking, and pursuing new proposals and grant Donors
- To capture trends of donors funding, their priorities and options available in India.
- Build relationships with corporate networks, large foundations, bi-lateral and multi-lateral agencies.
- To develop concept notes and proposals for raising financial resources from corporates, institutions and Government agencies within the context of overall fundraising strategy and plan.
- To maintain an up-to-date reference library of reports, news and articles which will inform analytic sections of proposals
- To organize and maintain up-to-date ChildFund-related materials for proposals and project briefs
- To work with the program and internal team members in developing quality funding proposals.
- To demonstrate a willingness to take on a range of tasks and to develop new skills, as appropriate to support the work of ChildFund in India.
- Any other tasks as may be assigned from time to time based on organizational requirements.
- Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
