Job Description
Role Summary/Purpose
SummaryAs part of the GE India Multi-modal Manufacturing team, the Junior Engineer quality is responsible for establishing an efficient and continually improving In-process quality systems as per AS Norms and executing the quality inspections.
Essential Responsibilities
- The position will report to the Quality leader /Manager.
- Responsible to carry out quality inspection of aerospace hardware per application specifications & drawings across shifts.
- Work closely with Quality system teams to develop and implement AS 9100 / procedures.
- Willingness to work & get qualified to other quality cell methods along with working with HPT teams for daily analysis of yield improvement, EHS & process improvisation projects.
- Contribute to continual improvement through audit programs, assessment / of various non-conformances and driving corrective actions identified through Root Cause Analysis.
- Understanding of site quality QMS procedures & policies.
- Understanding of process 7 QC tools & yield improvement tools like RCA , KAIZENS etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
- First Class Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- 2 + Years of Experience in Aerospace industry in the fields of quality inspections.
- Working knowledge of AS 9100 and NADCAP requirements.

- Strong hands on experience in performing quality inspections
- Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organization.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Methodology
- Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn
- Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively
- Proficiency in Lean, Oracle applications & MS Office
- Participate in design reviews with Engg/TTA and take actions to improve the manufacturability of the product. Lead ECO/ECR process for the product family
- Develop coaching skills to guide HPTs & support model line implementation
- Ability to travel to technical center, suppliers if needed.
