Data Analysis Manager - Enterprise Search Analyst, Elasticsearch Relevancy Tuning Experts (Primary) & Query Analytics With SQL Understanding

Who Youll Work With
As an Analysis, you will be working with a team of developers, partners and other engineers to formulate, assess and help develop enterprise AI and Search platform related solutions to enable Cisco. You will also be an active participant in validating the metric data working with multi-functional teams.
What You Will Do:
The Cisco Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) team located within Cisco Information Technology is looking for a hands-on analyst to support the Data & Analytics organization.
You will work closely with product owners and business team members to develop solutions to compute metrics, complete data assessment, and analysis of Search platform in an agile environment.
Responsibilities:

• Works with business team members to understand product capabilities.
• Collaborates with Search team to complete data assessment using SQL to extract data from Enterprise AI and Search platform.
• Document solutions to build or change metric computation business rules.
• Grooms proposed solutions with development team.
• Supports on-demand data extracts to meet business needs.

Who You Are:
Were seeking a hardworking, experienced and self-motivated IT professional who has a real passion for technology. You feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and you are able to influence within and outside the organization. Minimum requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with specialization in Computer Science or Information Science
• Strong object-oriented analysis & design skills.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Deep understanding of Agile and DevSecOps practices and toolsets
• Must be creative; be able to analyze and propose new simple approaches to complex problems.
• Must have ability to analyze search queries in elastic search and provide recommendation on optimization.
• Proficient in SQL
• knowledge of data science, data preparation, cleanup concepts
• Ability to keep track of metrics and identify issues.
• Participate in Agile meeting and suggest required user stories.
• Conduct testing for Search releases and Participate in UAT.
• Engage with Search team members and communicate accordingly.
• Must work well with team members, acting as a mentor to other engineers, helping to motivate and solve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Nice to have requirements include:

• Understanding of BigQuery and Snowflake a big plus
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, knowledge of Java is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud environment is plus.
