Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is looking for a Data Architect to help Cisco to unleash the power of data.

What Youll Do
in the role of a Data Architect,

• Youll work to lead end-to-end strategic technical transformation efforts across multiple data platforms both on-prem and cloud. You will provide knowledge backed leadership across the community to drive both the business goals and outcomes as well as to catalyse the knowledge acquisition of the teams around you. You will work directly with the business architecture and solutions teams and their respective leadership teams to build a vision and long-term strategies that will enable Cisco’s future state technical transformation optimally and efficiently as possible while minimizing impacts to current business.
  

Key Responsibilities Include

• Supervise business use and performance of the Teradata data warehouse and provides feedback to data warehouse DBAs, ETL (Extract Transform Load) developers and provide mentoring and assistance in sql tuning to business partners and users.
• Be responsible for technical transformations, bringing to bear your knowledge of the best ways and tools, quickly go through tech stack and code to understand a Data and analytics ecosystem and deliver on transformation needs.
• Tackle and resolve user and database issues to ensure the data warehouse meets service level requirements.
• Develop, manage, schedule, and document data warehouse operations and tasks, including archival, security, backup & workload management.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and arrive at a methodology to overcome the same proactively.
• Experience towards implementing processes towards database security and governance.
• Solid understanding on database replication and data modelling.
  
• Expertise on scripting tools like Python, Shell and the ability to implement automation to drive efficiencies.
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow, etc.
• Knowledge of designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining the ETL/ELT process and data flow, including data quality using various data integration tools.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and solutions available on AWS and GCP such as Cloud Data Lake, query engines, cloud storage, compute, networking setup for connecting across multiple cloud providers, user access management and security.
• Experience with cloud ETL tools like Informatica, Matillion, Fivetran
• Experience with workflow schedulers like Apache Airflow

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of full-time Data Platforms/Data Architecture experience.
• Should have a very good hands on experience in working with ETL/ELT technologies, Database platforms (Snowflake, AWS, Google)/Teradata, AWS Technology Stacks, Informatica/DBT/Fivetran, SQL and Python.
• 5+ years of database design and administration experience
