Job Description
- The position of Assistant Vice President, Controllers Reconciliation Utility, is responsible for reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts for specific business Segment. You will support the respective reconciliation segment leads in driving full compliance of the Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Substantiation Policy.
Responsibilities:
CORE FUNCTION
- Ensure that Balance Sheet accounts for the respective segment are reconciled in line with BSRS Policy and standard/desktop documented procedure.
- Verify that reconciliation performed by the team (reconcilers/reviewers) meets specific criteria, including reporting exceptions accurately in eRecon, maintaining supporting documentation, identifying root causes of recurring exceptions, and reporting P&L at risk.
- Develop and implement appropriate action plans to resolve exceptions and escalate issues as necessary.
- Play a key role in supporting the implementation of strategic ledger and facilitating escalations for various stakeholders.
TALENT DEVELOPMENT
- Assist segment leads in developing a diverse talent pool and encouraging team members to provide inputs and vocal leadership.
- Mentor junior colleagues, build trust within the team, and drive best-in-class knowledge management practices.
ENHANCING CONTROLS
- Assess risks in business decisions with a focus on compliance and safeguarding assets.
- Participate in audits, maintain documentation/controls, and create an effective control environment.
- Drive a zero-tolerance culture on control breaches and coordinate remediation efforts.

The successful candidate should ideally possess the following skills and exposure:
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in accounting, financial reporting, or product control.
- Strong analytical skills, knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, and proficiency in financial platforms and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively, influence peers, and manage in a complex environment.
- Leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills, with a focus on managing risks and enhancing controls.
- CA/CPA/CMA/MBA or equivalent academic qualifications.
