Job Title: Agile Coach

Global Functions Technology (GFT) is a diverse organization comprised of more than 15,000 talented professionals with some of the brightest minds – all working collectively to realize Citi’s Vision of growth and economic progress. As a group, we partner with the Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Human Resources teams to drive the delivery of innovative technology solutions using common data, data assessment, and platforms. Our technology operates in real-time environments, capturing and managing market, transaction, and accounting data, as well as the data from millions of customers daily. Our solutions cover all products and geographies in which Citi does business. We are the backbone for reporting across the bank, satisfying our regulatory obligations, enabling our businesses to be nimbler and helping to safeguard customer assets through highly effective controls.
GFT is accountable for providing and deliveringend-to-end design, application development and advocates infrastructure management to the Global Functions across Citi’s lines of business and regions. As part of Citi’s broad transformation strategy, GFT is presently undergoing a large-scale, multi-year Agile transformation throughout our 16k-person organization. Along with that transformation, we will need proven, sound, and solid software engineers, agile practitioners, and technical team managers to drive the success of our nascent agile teams.

The Role
The Agile Coach is a highly visible and impactful position that will serve to shepherd GFT’s technical organization through a multi-year modern agile transformation. Along the way you will work with our nascent agile delivery teams and existing team of Agile Coaches to build proven industry practices and scalable processes for agile product delivery. In addition, you will coach our delivery teams to enable continuous improvement, provide transparency for agile transformation risks and overall progress to stakeholders, and act as a change agent to reinforce the agile mindset shift.
Responsibilities:
Affect change by acting as a guide for agile teams during GFT’s multi-year agile transformation
Work with stakeholders, existing Agile Coaches, and functional leads to define and execute upon strategies for adopting agile ways of working
Perform hands-on coaching activities for your teams, including but not limited to:
Advise leaders on how to organize, mobilize, and launch agile teams,
Influence process execution by guiding product owners and mentoring team members,
Drive continuous process improvement strategies enabling efficient, effective, sustainable and measurable delivery
Report on patterns and anti-patterns in intra-team agile dynamics:
Establish feedback loops enabling trust, phycological safety, transparency and customer feedback
Design and lead training workshops on the pragmatics of Lean-Agile values, principles, and practices
Collaborate with our client organizations to adopt sustainable Lean-Agile capabilities and processes
Coach and mentor colleagues in agile values and principles
Qualifications
Mindset consistent with Scrum Core Values: openness, respect, focus and commitment
3+ years working in an agile environment as a coach
3+ years working in an agile environment as a Product Owner, Scrum Master
5+ years working in an agile culture with deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Agile frameworks
Demonstrated experience coaching at least 2 agile teams concurrently, through a multi-year agile transformation
Exposure to a large-scale enterprise agile transformation with demonstrated experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other scaling frameworks and deep understanding of agile values and principles
Demonstrated experience facilitating collaborative sessions, managing customer expectations, and ensuring work is aligned with the enterprise goals and objectives.
Understanding of the technical enablers of agile delivery and how they operate within an agile organization (e.g., CICD, DevOps)
Expertise with agile tools suites including Atlassian, Agility Health Radar, MS Teams or similar agile management tooling
Experience with agile testing and technical engineering techniques (TDD, BDD) and DevSecOps tools a plus
Scrum Master, Product Owner certifications
Coaching certification
