Job Description
- The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role that involves contributing to the establishment and implementation of new or updated application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. Your main responsibility will be to participate in applications systems analysis and programming activities.
As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting tasks such as feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development to meet specific business needs
- Monitoring and controlling all phases of the development process from analysis to implementation, and providing support to business users
- Utilizing specialized knowledge in applications development to analyze complex problems, evaluate business and system processes, and recommend solutions
- Recommending and developing security measures post-implementation to ensure successful system design
- Consulting with users/clients and technology groups, recommending programming solutions, and assisting with customer exposure systems
- Ensuring adherence to essential procedures, defining operating standards and processes, and providing guidance to new or lower level analysts
- Operating with a limited level of direct supervision, exercising independent judgement, and acting as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members
- Assessing risk in business decisions and ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations
Qualifications for this role include:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience

- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes
Skills required for this role include Java, Spring, Kafka, and Mongo DB. A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required for this position.
