Job Description
- The Model/Analysis/Validation Intermediate Analyst role is a developing professional position where you deal with most problems independently and have the latitude to solve complex issues. You integrate in-depth specialty knowledge with a solid understanding of RRP industry standards and practices. It is essential to have a good understanding of how your team and area integrate with others to achieve subfunction/job family objectives. Your role involves applying analytical thinking and utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies. Attention to detail is crucial when making judgments and recommendations based on factual information. You will typically handle variable issues with potential broader business impact, exercising professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Communication skills are vital, and the ability to break down information systematically is key. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information effectively.
Your responsibilities will include developing, enhancing, and validating risk measurement and analysis methods for various risk types, such as market, credit, and operational risks. You may also work on developing, validating, and strategizing the use of RRP models. Supporting the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of best-in-class Risk programs, policies, and practices for Risk Management is an important aspect of the role. You will review analytics, models, and other documents to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, identifying potential risks and escalating them for further review. Additionally, you will handle preliminary investigations, assist with reconciliation procedures, prepare routine correspondence, create and maintain reports for control, tracking, and analysis purposes, and ensure appropriate retention of documents.
Collaboration with senior staff in investigating and responding to customer and operational complaints, and interaction with other areas within Risk Management when necessary, are also part of your role. It is crucial to appropriately assess risk in business decisions, giving particular consideration to the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and managing and reporting control issues transparently.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
- Demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Project management and organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Education:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
