RoleOverview:

We are seeking a designleader to head our design function and shape the future of ClayWorks workspaces. This role demands creativity, technical expertise, and strategic vision. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a passion for innovation, and deep experience in corporate workspace/interior design to deliver projects that balance aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Translate business goals into a long-term design roadmap, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and alignment with ClayWorks growth strategy.
• Design Leadership: Own the design strategy across all ClayWorks projects, ensuring each workspace reflects brand ethos, user experience, and operational excellence.
• Concept Development: Drive creative concepts, layouts, and mood boards for new projects; partner with Sales on test fits and client pitches.
• Project Execution: Guide internal teams and external consultants from concept to completion; review drawings, BOQs, and material selections to ensure quality and intent.
  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Projects, Procurement, Sales, and Marketing to align design with budgets, timelines, and brand consistency.
• Innovation & Sustainability: Benchmark global workspace trends & Sustainable workplace trends and integrate cutting-edge solutions into ClayWorks design DNA in line with Vision and Mission of Clayworks.
• Team & Vendor Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high- performing in-house design team; evaluate and onboard external consultants/vendors.
• Decision-Making: Take ownership of key design and execution decisions which are strongly backed by data and facts, balancing creativity with commercial, operational, and client priorities.
• Governance: Establish and enforce design standards, guidelines, SOPs and compliance with local building codes.
• Responsible for evaluating architectural firms who can align with Clayworks design as a continual process
• Design enhancement of existing workspaces - as per client needs / property upliftment
• Leadership and Mentorship: Providing leadership to design team, guiding their professional development, and fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve design excellence and project success

• Lead design for multiple commercial workspace projects (25,000 100,000 sq. ft.) simultaneously.
• Build the Design&Buildvertical for ClayWorks with scalable processes and best-in-class standards.

Requirements &Skills:

• 1012 years’ experience in commercialworkspacedesign, preferably with coworking/managed office providers
• Bachelor’s/master's degree in architecture or interior design from a reputed institute.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, MEP coordination, and turnkey project delivery.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and presentation tools.
• Excellent aesthetic sense with an understanding of user behavior and ergonomics.
• Strong client/stakeholder management skills with ability to present to CXOs/founders.
• Passion for sustainabledesign,workplaceinnovation,andteamleadership.
