IT DATA LEAD

We are collaborating with a prominent retail group in the GCC that is in search of an accomplished IT Data Lead. This role is central to managing the technical aspects of SAP data migration. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing load strategies, overseeing ETL processes, conducting mock migration cycles, and ensuring data quality through rigorous validation and reconciliation. The IT Data Lead will serve as the vital connector between the technical migration team, the system integrator, and the Business Data Leads to facilitate the accurate and secure transition of legacy data into SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate and execute comprehensive data migration strategies to facilitate the transition of data to SAP.
Oversee ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration.
Conduct thorough mock migration cycles to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Perform detailed validation and reconciliation of data to uphold high standards of quality.
Engage with various stakeholders to manage technical escalations and ensure project continuity.
Provide detailed progress reports on data migration activities to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
At least 5 years of leadership experience in data migration for large-scale ERP projects, preferably involving SAP S/4HANA.
Proficient in ETL tools and SAP loading utilities such as BODS, LSMW, LTMC, with strong SQL capabilities.
In-depth understanding of data models related to finance, supply chain, retail, and master data.
Demonstrated experience in data mapping, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with varied stakeholders and navigate technical challenges.
