Job Overview

We seek a highly motivated Analyst/Senior Analyst with 2-4 years of experience in transport sector consulting, carbon credit markets, and public sector project management units (PMUs). The ideal candidate will understand transport decarbonisation strategies, carbon finance mechanisms, and government advisory projects. Prior experience working with state government agencies is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Transport & Carbon Credits

• Conduct research and analysis on transport sector emissions, low-carbon mobility solutions, and climate finance opportunities.
• Support the design and implementation of carbon credit projects in the transport sector.
• 
  Assess policy and regulatory frameworks for transport decarbonisation and carbon markets at national and sub-national levels.

PMU Advisory and Stakeholder management

• Assist in managing government PMU (Project Management Unit) initiatives, supporting policy development, project execution, and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop policy briefs, reports, and presentations for government agencies and prepare impact assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and financial models.
• Stakeholder consultations with relevant industry and policy players.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Masters degree in economics, Public Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Transport Engineering, MBA, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4 years in consulting, with a focus on transport decarbonisation, carbon credits, or climate finance.
• Government PMU Experience: Prior involvement in government advisory projects, policy formulation, or project execution is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

• Understanding of carbon markets, transport electrification, and sustainable mobility solutions.

• Experience with carbon credit methodologies (CDM, VCS, Gold Standard) is desirable.

Soft Skills:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Indias or emerging markets' transport policies, carbon pricing mechanisms, and green finance initiatives.
