Job Description
- The client team is looking for a skilled Azure GitHub Actions Architect to join their team. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure using native Azure components with GitHub Actions. Your role will involve leading the development of Azure projects, collaborating with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines, and establishing best practices for the team.
Your responsibilities will include designing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while considering operational concerns and non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, and backups. You will also develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for automated provisioning and management of cloud resources.
Collaboration with DevOps teams to build necessary CI/CD pipelines for deploying application code and streamlining deployment processes will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will implement solutions adhering to cloud security principles, including Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, and Network Security.
Your expertise will be crucial in building solutions that incorporate Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts, particularly in monitoring, logging, alerting, incident management, and disaster recovery. You will also be responsible for responding to security findings identified by security teams, implementing remediation measures to mitigate risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
As an Architect, you should be able to design solutions with operational concerns in mind, including non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, backups, and restore procedures. Furthermore, mentoring junior team members on cloud architecture principles, best practices, and emerging technologies will be an essential part of your role.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in core application development and implementing end-to-end solutions.
- 5+ years of experience working as a GitHub Actions Architect or in a similar role.
**Skills:**
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Application Stack: Microservices, Spring Boot, JPA, ReactJS, relational databases.
- Cloud: Microsoft Azure.
- Database: Azure Postgres, Cosmos DB.
- Messaging: Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, Azure Event Grid, Solace, and Kafka.

- Database Operations: Configuring Backups, Restores, replication and Failover.
- Traceability: Azure monitoring, logging, and alerting services.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of the SCRUM agile process.
- Financial Services domain experience preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Certified Azure Architect Associate.
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.,
