INDIA AG & WMF Purchase Finance Controller
Job Purpose:
The Purchasing Controller for AG India is responsible for Purchasing results (ITB and Action Plan); tracking Price Increase/ Decrease approval assessments; Evaluation of Vendor Toolings business cases; Monitor market trends and price assessments; Evaluate impact of other factors like freight, energy etc.
- Supplier evaluations; support capacity increase assessment; system development and align reporting systems at par with other regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary and Secondary duties:
- Work closely with Purchasing team to track and control price movement for commodities and suppliers.
- Track Market Raw Material trend and evaluate the impact on supplier prices based on tonnage usage.
- Ensure non-Raw Material requests are reviewed and processed based on factors other than material price like freight, energy etc.
- Ensure Raw material trends for both Market Price and Paid Price are tracked at commodity level effectively and timely along with - Purchase team.
- Ensure the price increases are effectively postponed without supply chain disruptions and reductions are implemented timely.
- Ensure the (monthly/ planning scenarios) reporting is done timely and accurately.
- The results are matching with the system for both "In the Bag" and "Action plan".
- Manage the data accuracy inline with the Global Processes (Qlik Database, GPP Planning Actions, PMRF consolidation).
- Supplier wise, reason wise evaluation of impacts for all scenarios.
- Timely evaluation of Price Increase/ Decrease Approvals along with Purchasing team.
- Ensure the key Supplier's request are corroborated with Supplier's financials.
- Supplier evaluations by assessment of financial statement and monitor the ratings.
- Evaluate business cases for Vendor tooling and payback calculation.
- Monitoring of Vendor Tooling implementation and physical verification along with the accounting team/ third party.
- Support Purchasing team in capacity increase project assessment - Make Buy evaluation etc.
- Development of systems at par with other regions.
- Work Closely with ICT and Purchasing for data accuracy.
- Ensure data is managed accurately and timely in the global systems.
- Coordinate for Cost reduction program for Purchasing function.
Experience Required:
- Should have 5 to 10 years of experience in finance controlling preferably in Manufacturing/ Purchase domain.
- Should be able to demonstrate good teamwork with exposure to various operating functions.
- Should be able to perform project/ investment evaluation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze, consolidate & interpret financial data.
