Job Description

You will be a key member of our Automation & Digitization team as an Ignition SCADA Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of advanced industrial automation solutions, focusing on leveraging the Ignition platform.
With a minimum of 4+ years of experience, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, evaluating, and enhancing existing Ignition-based software applications based on defined requirements. Your tasks will include implementing modular components such as Raw Material Management, Recipe Management, and Admin Area.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and align software capabilities with business processes will be essential. You will ensure that the application conforms to the best practices of PLC framework, including workflows and approval gates. Additionally, developing and maintaining integrations with external enterprise systems like SAP HANA and global PLMs will be part of your responsibilities.
As an Ignition SCADA Engineer, you will manage user roles, workflows, and access controls through an integrated admin interface. Your role will involve applying best practices and lessons learned from past MES and enterprise-level automation projects to improve scalability, reliability, and performance of the solution.
Working closely with an experienced development team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality software that meets project goals and timelines. Your technical skills should include proven experience with the Inductive Automation Ignition platform, strong background in Enterprise and MES projects, and proficiency in creating and consuming APIs.

You will be expected to have the ability to understand and extend existing codebases using technical documentation, ERDs, process flows, and mockups. Experience in workflow and user role management through admin panels, a solid understanding of industrial automation processes and data management principles, as well as strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
A B.Tech/BE in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation Engineering is required for this role. Additionally, holding Gold or Core Certification will be beneficial.
