Job Description

As an Android Developer Intern, you will be based in Pune and responsible for assisting in developing and maintaining Android applications using Java/Kotlin. Your role will involve working with APIs and databases to integrate backend services, optimizing app performance for speed, responsiveness, and efficiency, as well as debugging and fixing issues to ensure a smooth user experience. Collaboration with designers and senior developers to enhance UI/UX will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities. It is essential to stay updated with the latest Android development trends and best practices.
The required skills for this role include basic knowledge of Android Studio, Java/Kotlin, understanding of XML layouts, UI components, and Material Design, familiarity with REST APIs and third-party integrations, strong problem-solving and debugging skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred skills for this position include experience with Jetpack Components (LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, Room, etc.), knowledge of Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Messaging), and familiarity with Git version control.
