Lead Data Analyst

Introduction
We are currently expanding our founding team and were looking for high-performing young professionals with an entrepreneurial mindset - who are ready to work in a fast-past exciting startup environment.
We are hiring for a new Lead Data Analyst - see the details below. The role will initially be part-time but there will be plenty of opportunity to develop this into a senior permanent role once the platform launches later this year

• Role: Lead Data Analyst
• Part time (approx 20 hrs per week, flexible hours)
• Opportunity for the role to develop into full-time senior position
  

Background

• The role is for a new edtech startup based in Hong Kong
• The platform collates student data & generates learning insights for users
  
• The platform also sources meaningful education related data from 3rd parties to generate meaning learning insights & related content
  

Responsibilities

• Act as Lead Researcher you should be able to turn concept into reality - utilise acquired data (sourced both internal & external) to generate meaningful learning insights
• You are expected to build & maintain all insight logic, providing a transparent verification & governance structure
• Utilise AI to products to streamline data collection & analysis
• Create & build new learning insights based on product enhancements
• Research government websites & 3rd party vendors to source reliable educational data, trends, updates etc
• As lead researcher, you will also be expected to generate quality social media content related to learning insights

Requirements

• Degree in data science or related field
• Strong experience in data analytics, research & data scrapping
• Experience in utilising & building LLMs & analytical frameworks
• Able to create proof of concept using Python script using provided data and data model.
• Awareness of data structure and ability to build efficiently is expected.
• Experience working with JSON and GraphQL is a plus.
• Languages spoken: English
• Must have a driven entrepreneur mindset - ready to work in fast-paced start-up culture
• Must be creative & problem solver - should be able to exemplify this when interviewed
