As Vice President, Ecosystem Enablement and Community, you will architect, lead, and scale Cognites global training, certification, and enablement ecosystem. Youll own the end-to-end learning strategy that ensures Cognite professionals, customers, and partners have the knowledge, skills, and certifications required to unlock the full potential of our industrial AI solutions. This role is critical to our mission of scaling Cognites impact globally and achieving our $250M revenue ambition by 2026.
What Youll Do
Strategic Learning Architecture & Business Model Innovation
- Multi-Year Enablement Roadmap: Design and execute a comprehensive global strategy for Cognites Academy encompassing internal enablement, customer education, and partner certification programs. Youll translate business growth plans into proactive learning pathways that drive adoption and revenue.
- Sustainable Business Model: Build a financially sustainable training business that drives revenue while accelerating customer and partner adoption. Youll establish pricing, revenue targets, and cost models that balance commercial viability with strategic impact.
- Learning Innovation: Revise and scale the Customer Academy by incorporating modern learning methodologies, AI-powered personalization, and cutting-edge instructional design. Youll ensure Cognites learning experiences are best-in-class and differentiated.
- Certification Programs: Design and implement multi-tiered certifications for customers, partners, and internal teams. Youll establish credible, market-recognized credentials with assessment standards and value-badging systems.
- Team Leadership: Lead a global team of 10+ learning professionals across India, Oslo, Phoenix, and other regions. Youll build a high-performance culture balancing creative innovation with operational discipline.
- Talent Development: Develop high-potential team members into strategic learning consultants and thought partners. Youll foster cross-functional collaboration and position your team as trusted advisors.
- Scalable Operations: Establish efficient processes for content creation, localization, and maintenance across regions. Youll design quality assurance frameworks that maintain excellence while enabling rapid development.
- Multi-Modal Delivery: Implement scalable delivery modelsin-person, virtual, self-paced, hybridto meet diverse global audiences while maximizing reach and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner Certification: Develop a robust partner enablement program that equips implementation partners with product knowledge, technical skills, and best practices. Youll create clear certification pathways and accreditation standards.
- Partner Integration: Collaborate with Partner Management and Channel Sales to integrate training and certification into partner program structure, including tiering criteria and incentives.
- Customer Learning Journeys: Partner with Customer Success and Professional Services to design learning pathways that accelerate customer outcomes, reduce time-to-value, and support land, expand, and scale motions.
- Internal Enablement: Deliver comprehensive enablement for customer-facing teams to ensure deep product expertise and confident value positioning.
- KPI Tracking: Define and track metrics that measure program effectivenessproduct adoption, customer satisfaction, partner performance, support reduction, time-to-value, and training revenue.
- ROI Communication: Champion the business impact of enablement initiatives to stakeholders and leadership, demonstrating linkages between Academy programs and revenue growth, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback loops and assessments to refine content, delivery, and pathways. Use data insights to optimize effectiveness and keep programs market-relevant.
- Learning Events: Plan and execute annual global and regional certification events, learning summits, and customer training days that foster community and recognition.
- Enablement Positioning: Position Cognite as a leader in customer and partner enablement, building a vibrant community of Cognite-certified professionals and amplifying customer success stories.
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with customers and partners through advisory boards, user groups, and feedback sessions to gather insights and co-create learning content.
- Strategic Business Partner: You operate as a trusted advisor to the Chief Services Officer and senior leadership, translating business challenges into enablement strategies that drive measurable outcomes. Your learning programs directly influence revenue growth, customer retention, and partner ecosystem strength.
- Enablement as Competitive Advantage: You position training and certification as a core differentiator in the market. By creating best-in-class learning experiences, you accelerate customer adoption, reduce churn, and create switching costs that strengthen Cognites competitive position.
- Revenue & Profitability Contribution: You build and scale training programs that generate direct revenue while supporting broader business objectives. Your financial discipline ensures Enablement programs are profitable, scalable, and sustainable without sacrificing quality or impact.
- Cross-Functional Orchestrator: You lead through influence, partnering seamlessly with Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Partner Management, and Professional Services. Your ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared enablement goals drives cohesive customer and partner experiences.
- Culture of Learning Excellence: You champion a data-driven, learner-centric culture within your team and across Cognite. By establishing high standards for instructional quality, measurement rigor, and continuous improvement, you elevate enablement as a strategic discipline.
- Innovation & Scalability: You design scalable systems and leverage emerging technologies (AI, adaptive learning, microlearning, immersive experiences) to meet the needs of a rapidly growing global customer base and partner ecosystemwithout sacrificing quality or personalization.

- 12+ years in learning and enablement leadership, with 7+ years in B2B SaaS, industrial technology, or technical platform environments.
- 7+ years in senior leadership roles (VP, Senior Director, or Director level) leading global, distributed enablement organizations of 15-30+ professionals.
- Led enablement at $100M+ ARR B2B SaaS or AI companies during 2x+ hypergrowth periods while maintaining program quality and team cohesion.
- Managed enablement operations across 3+ regions (Americas, EMEA, APAC) with success in localization, cultural adaptation, and distributed team leadership across time zones.
- Built and scaled customer and partner communities with demonstrated success creating engagement programs, user groups, advisory boards, and peer learning networks that drive product adoption and advocacy.
- Built enablement programs for highly technical products (industrial software, data platforms, infrastructure, enterprise AI, or developer tools); expertise translating complex concepts into accessible learning.
- Mastery of instructional design, adult learning theory, modern methodologies, certification program development, credentialing standards, and assessment design.
- Proficiency with learning technology ecosystems (LMS, LXP, authoring tools, video production, simulation platforms, AI-powered personalization tools) and community platforms (online forums, user group management, event platforms); Implemented AI-driven learning innovations (adaptive systems, intelligent recommendations, automated assessments, predictive analytics).
- Advanced learning analytics, measurement frameworks, predictive modeling, and ROI calculation methodologies.
