Cognitud - Chief Commercial Officer - Pharma

This is a confidential search for a Chief Commercial Officer for a large and fast-growing pharma organisation in Hyderabad.
Role:
We are looking for a Chief Commercial Officer to lead and scale the commercial engine of a global pharmaceutical platform spanning APIs, formulations and animal health. This is a board-facing leadership role, responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, shaping the product portfolio, and building strategic customer partnerships across global markets. You will work closely with the CEO, COO, and leadership team to translate vision into execution and position the organization as a global pharma leader.

Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the end-to-end commercial strategy aligned with enterprise growth goals.
- Lead sales growth across APIs, formulations, animal health, and services (domestic & international).
- Build and manage strategic customer relationships, partnerships, key accounts, and export businesses.
- Shape portfolio strategy - new launches, lifecycle management, market entry, and pricing.
- Act as the voice of the market into R&D, pipeline decisions, and investment priorities.
- Oversee commercial P&L, forecasting, sales operations, CRM, incentives, and performance metrics.
- Represent the organization with customers, industry bodies, and external stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
- 18+ years of experience in Pharma / Life Sciences / APIs / Formulations.
- 8+ years in senior commercial leadership roles.
- Proven success in scaling revenues, leading large teams, product launches, and global markets.
- Strong exposure to regulated markets, exports, and international customers
- Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline and stakeholder influence
