YOUR TEAM:

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Azure Infrastructure Engineer on our Information Technology team. This position will be based in Chennai, India. As an entry to mid-level professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our information systems that support core business functions. Your work will involve monitoring, maintaining, deploying, supporting, and optimizing Azure resources, landing zones, and application systems to maximize the benefit of our IT investments.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY:

In this role, you will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve technical issues. Youll partner with cross-functional and global teams to keep our cloud environment secure, reliable, and future-ready, supporting business initiatives at every turn.

YOUR ROLE:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Azure Resource Management & Administration:

• Create, manage, administer, and monitor Azure resources, including landing zones and application systems, designing and testing high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Maintain connectivity from on-premises to cloud environments to ensure a secure and stable infrastructure.

Virtualization & Data Center Operations:

• Administer and support VMware and Hyper-V environments, designing and testing high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Oversee Data Center/Server Room operations and Cloud environments, including backups and restores using Rubrik and other solutions.

Infrastructure Optimization & Monitoring:

• File and share permissions using the principle of least rights

• Manage existing virtualization solutions and deploy new solutions in Azure, ensuring efficiency and cost optimization.
• Monitor and analyze Azure costs, providing regular reports and recommending improvements or adjustments as needed.

Hyper Converged Infrastructure & VM Replication:

• Support and administer hyper converged environments, ensuring scalability and resiliency.
• Configure and manage VM replication to alternate locations to maintain business continuity.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Provide Tier 3 support to the support desk when complex issues arise, documenting resolutions and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with global IT teams to understand the existing technical environment and overall architecture, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Participate in weekend on-call coverage to ensure round-the-clock support.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

The successful candidate will have:

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• VMware, MCSA, MCSE, or Azure certifications are a plus.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 5 years working as a Azure Engineer / Administrator, with hands-on experience in Azure and Windows Server environments.
• PowerShell scripting skills are a plus.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong Azure and Windows Server administration skills.
• Proficiency with Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory, and DNS.
• Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, backup/restore solutions, and network connectivity principles.

Soft Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent prioritization, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities, with a talent for clear documentation and presentations.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
