Finance Solution Architect S/4 Hana Public Cloud | EMEA | India

The EMEA SAP Solution Architect will support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Colliers SAP technology landscape, with a primary focus on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Working as part of the EMEA Technology Solutions team, the role is responsible for translating business requirements into scalable, supportable technical solutions, ensuring applications are configured and integrated effectively whilst supporting the ongoing evolution of the Finance Systems platform.

The role will work closely with the Product Manager, Business Analysts, Finance stakeholders, delivery partners and third-party suppliers to deliver new functionality, improve business processes and maintain a stable, secure production environment across the EMEA region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SAP Consultant or Technical Lead looking to progress into a Solution Architect role.

Purpose of the Role

The SAP Solution Architect will support the SAP Platform Architect in delivering the Finance Systems roadmap whilst ensuring SAP solutions remain aligned to business priorities, enterprise architecture standards and operational support requirements.

The role will contribute to solution design, application configuration, integration design and continuous improvement activities, whilst helping to ensure the Finance platforms remain secure, reliable and fit for future business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design

• Design scalable, supportable SAP solutions across SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, with awareness of related platforms such as SAP Analytics Cloud, CIM and SAP Concur.
• Produce solution designs and technical documentation that align with enterprise architecture standards.
• Support solution assurance throughout project delivery.
• Ensure new solutions are maintainable, secure and operationally supportable.

SAP Configuration & Technical Support

• Support the configuration and enhancement of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, working with related applications where required.
• Provide technical guidance to Functional Analysts and delivery partners.
• Support complex production issues and third-line investigations where required.
• Assist with SAP release planning, upgrades and regression testing.

Integration

• Design and support integrations between SAP Finance applications and other enterprise systems.
  
• Work alongside integration specialists to deliver secure and reliable interfaces.
• Support troubleshooting of integration issues and identify opportunities to improve performance and resilience.
• Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for integrations and technical designs.

Product & Change Delivery

• Support the Platform Manager in delivering the Finance Systems roadmap.
• Contribute to backlog refinement, solution estimation and technical planning.
• Work with Business Analysts to translate business requirements into solution designs.
• Support the successful delivery of projects, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build effective relationships with Finance, Technology and third-party suppliers.
• Participate in workshops with business stakeholders to understand requirements.
• Explain technical solutions in business-friendly language.
• Work collaboratively across Architecture, Infrastructure, Security and Service Management teams.

Service Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, usability and operational support.
• Contribute to root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Support the development of standards, documentation and best practice.
• Promote standard SAP functionality wherever appropriate.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

SAP certifications in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAC, CIM or Concur would be advantageous but are not essential

• Skills & Experience

  Essential

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is essential.
• Professional Services and Project systems knowledge is highly desirable
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud extensibility, including Custom Fields, Custom Logic, Projects and Queries, and CDS views.
• Strong understanding of SAP processes and how they are delivered in a public cloud environment.
• Experience participating in SAP implementation or support projects.
• Understanding of SAP integrations and APIs.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management processes.
• Experience working with third-party support providers.

• Desirable

• Experience or working exposure with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), CIM and SAP Concur would be advantageous.

• Knowledge of the Professional Services line of business and project-based processes would be desirable.

• Understanding of SAP Fiori.
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts.
• Experience working within an Agile delivery environment.
• Exposure to SAP licensing and release management.
