Chief Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our client's dynamic team in the small events company in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in budget forecasting, profitability analysis, and local corporate taxation, VAT reporting . This is a standalone role, responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Financial Operations:
• Manage and oversee all finance operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide timely reports.
• Profitability Analysis:
• Analyze profitability by project and client to support decision-making.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance financial performance.
• VAT Reporting & Corporate Tax
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Ensure that all VAT-related transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for strategic decisions.
• Software Proficiency:
• Utilize Xero for accounting and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• 8-10 years of relevant finance experience, preference for candidates with a background in the events or travel industry.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations and VAT compliance in the UAE.
• Proficient in Xero and other financial management software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Salary : AED 10'000 monthly
