Quality Engineer

JOB DETAILS

• Develop manual test cases and create test automation scripts
• Execute manual and automated tests on feature changes as well as system, depending on the impact of the changes.
• Effectively report defects and communicate them to team to assess a products quality for release.
• Employ a variety of testing techniques to successfully deliver product releases including functional, regression, performance, and system tests.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and contribute to overall automation efforts
• Provide guidance to junior QEs on estimation, suggesting test approaches and processes, prioritization of tasks.
• Provide feedback on test tools, test practices, etc
• Implement improvements on test automation framework, testing practices

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain test automation frameworks / test scripts for Front-end and Back-end (APIs)
• Test automation framework implemented on CI/CD Platform and at least running in schedule
• Automation of other engineering activities, including CI/CD efforts from QEs
• Testing estimations for future product plans
• Provide / Suggest solutions to automaton challenges within his/her project team
• Review and improve Testing Standards and Processes
• Mentor team members towards growth opportunities
• QE Performance Assessments showing improvement/s continuous high performance
• Testing estimations for future product plans

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years in quality assurance and test automation, or development
• Above average knowledge in Java / JavaScript.
• Knowledge in Performance testing
• Knowledge in testing fundamentals
• Knowledge in Test plans and Test strategies
• Knowledge in API testing
• Experience in testing mobile applications ideally iOS and Android
• Working knowledge on least 1 DB technology (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Established foundation in different basic tools for Test Documentation, Bug Logging, and Agile practice
• Experienced on providing assessment of peer deliverables
• Has designed and implemented several test automation frameworks
