Desktop Support Technician - Dubai

Responsibilities and Duties
- Resolves computer problems and errors
- Sets up and configures new computer and internet equipment
- Performs routine inspection of equipment
- Updates computer software and operating systems
- Remotely or physically assists in computer-related concerns
- Configuring new desktops, routers, modems, and similar devices.
- Reproducing, diagnosing, and analyzing problems reported by end-users, in turn formulating solutions to resolve the issue at hand
- Monitor and maintain network performance, strong background in troubleshooting, managed networks.
- have extensive knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching technologies, firewalls, VPNs, VOIP, Wireless, CCTV, Servers, PC/laptop troubleshooting, hardware/software installation, IT equipment, and network security best practices.
Desktop Support Technician Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Prior experience in desktop support technician or similar role preferred
• Proficient in MS Office and IT-related applications
• Effective time-management skills
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• strong background in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, managed networks
• have extensive knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching technologies, firewalls, VPNs, VOIP, Wireless, CCTV, Servers, PC/laptop troubleshooting, hardware/software installation, IT equipment, and network security best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and work overtime if needed.
