IOS Lead/Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated iOS Lead/Architect with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to join a dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, user-centric iOS applications. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our mobile product roadmap, driving technical excellence, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex iOS applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Architect and implement robust and scalable solutions for iOS applications, considering performance, maintainability, and future scalability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product managers, to define requirements, translate designs into functional applications, and ensure seamless integration.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback to team members, and mentor junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Optimise application performance, identify and fix bugs, and continuously improve code quality through refactoring and best practices.
• Conduct unit and integration testing, ensuring the highest level of quality and stability for all released applications.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in iOS technologies, industry trends, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal tools and frameworks to streamline development processes and improve team efficiency.

• Actively participate in agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, and contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in professional iOS application development.
• Deep understanding of iOS SDK, including Core Data, UIKit, and other relevant frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with a solid grasp of design patterns and architectural principles for iOS applications.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating iOS applications with backend services.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, and proficient use of Xcode.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with Android development, Kotlin, and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).

Essential Education:
