CDF-Accountant

Education and work experience needed

Graduate/Post graduate degree in Commerce with at least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience

IDF is looking for an Accountant to expand its team. The right candidate will be responsible handling all incoming and outgoing money, financial processes and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Processing and accounting for all payments including vendors, partners, staff claims and salaries in a timely manner

• Ensuring deposit of all client and donor money and other receipts in bank accounts and issuing timely receipts/certificates

• Responsible for maintaining up to date books and accounting records in Tally and excel Communicating with banks, vendors, partners and third parties in connection with normal business transactions

• Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis

• Ensure management of filing systems and maintaining office records and registers.

• Deduction, deposit and filing of all statutory dues such as TDS and GST as per applicable laws

• Assist in closing the books to enable filing of annual tax returns

• Prepare monthly MIS to report to the Director and the Board

Skills required

• Proficiency in use of Tally accounting software and MS Office

• Good working knowledge of Excel worksheets

• Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements in India. Knowledge of non-profit requirements would be a plus.

• Has worked with internal teams and external audit firms for annual audit and required filings
