THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be an integral member of the technology team. You will focus on managing development operations and production. You will closely work with and support the Developers and carry out delivery tasks. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and ongoing development of continuous build/ integration infrastructure you will be expected to have a good understanding of Quality Control and Test Automation in Agile-based Continuous Integration environment

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Application Deployments - Azure DevOps YAML build pipelines and classic release pipelines, PowerShell and bash scripts, Docker containers, Database Deployments DACPAC, SCM BitBucket.
• Infrastructure - Windows Servers, Linux Servers, SQL Server, Azure SQL and many more Azure resources.
• Application Types - Web APIs, Web Forms, Windows Services, Task Scheduler Jobs, SQL Server Agent jobs.
• Networking - Knowledge of networking, VPNs, network security - Implementing secure network configurations, managing firewall rules, setting up virtual private networks (VPNs), troubleshooting network issues(understanding networking protocols, diagnosing connectivity issues).
• Automate application/database builds and deployments and write scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
• Optimize and improve existing builds/deployments.
• Deploy applications/databases to different environments.
• Setup/configure infrastructure on Azure.
• Create/merge branches in git.
• Help with debugging post-deployment issues.
• Managing access to BitBucket, Sentry, VMs and Azure resources and horizontal; setting up primary and secondary DB and syncing process; setup of read-only secondary DB.

REQUIRED COMPETENCEIS

• 5+ years of experience in automating application and database deployments.
• Strong experience in .NET and MS SQL
• Ability to quickly learn and implement new tools/technologies.

  Get Hired
  Ability to excel within an "Agile" environment.
• Infrastructure automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD is needed.
• Development/Test Stack - VueJS, .NET Framework, .NET Core, Python, TypeScript, PowerBI, SSIS, SQL Server, NUnit, XUnit, Selenium, Postman, Sentry.
• Working experience in ARM, Terraform and Pulumi for infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of web infrastructure and how it works is essential - for example-routing & load balancing.
