General Manager - Technical - Production Team

Job Purpose :

As the senior most leader in the Production team, the GM-Technical oversees and optimizes all aspects of the Plant, ensuring safe & efficient operations, meeting quality standards and cost targets. The role focuses on ensuring world-class production efficiency, product quality, plant reliability, cost optimization, sustainable operations, and cross-functional alignment. He also leads Strategic planning, Technological improvements, Process optimization and Line upgrades.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling all aspects of production from raw materials to finished goods.

- Manage multiple teams including Production planning & Control, Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance and EHS to ensure production and cost targets are met.

- Achieving the monthly production and cost targets and ensuring there are effective plans for further achievement.

- Development and control of budgets related to operations and maintenance. Control of operational costs against budget and deliver cost reductions.

- Drive Operational Excellence across Pickling, Cold Rolling, Galvanising and Finishing Lines. Devise and monitor KPIs like OEE, yield and productivity for each production line.

- Leverage SAP systems and digital tools for process insights and lead the Digital Transformation process in Operations.

- Successful implementation of any new capital projects to ensure all projects are completed on time & within approved budget.

- Responsible for ensuring compliance with EHS regulations, fostering a strong safety culture, and achieving the highest standards of safety in the plant.

A) External : Suppliers, Customers, Service providers.

B) Internal : Top Management Team, Marketing, Procurement, HR, IT & Finance.
