Job Description
- As a Product Owner in the D&IT AI Platform & Products team at Corning, you will lead the development and ownership of internal Generative AI capabilities. Your role involves collaborating with businesses to understand their Gen AI needs, identifying high-value opportunities, and delivering impactful AI solutions. Strategic thinking, a high-level understanding of LLM capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration are key to driving successful implementation and adoption of GenAI solutions across Corning's businesses. You will define the products roadmap, oversee its management, and ensure alignment with business priorities and objectives. Additionally, you will work cross-functionally to scale and grow AI functions supporting future business growth.
Your responsibilities will include application software design patterns and software architecture, front-end development using various web frameworks, back-end development with multiple stacks, eliciting requirements from business partners, designing & developing custom applications, participating in architecture and software development activities, debugging production issues, and using the toolchain service offering for day-to-day activities. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years as a fullstack developer in a digital technology organization, is required. Certification in AWS cloud infrastructure is preferred.

Key skills for this role include strong technical collaboration and communication skills, the ability to drive cultural change and adoption of best practices, collaboration with other teams, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, process-oriented mindset, agile methodologies proficiency, development experience in Python, and agility in a fast-paced environment. Desired skills include experience with Databricks, Hugging Face, building GenAI applications, .NET, C#, Java, Node.js, and working in an agile product team environment while balancing stakeholder requests.,
