Founded in 2016, by Varun Khurana, Otipy focuses on on-demand harvesting according to predicted demand, to keep minimum wastage through state-of-the-art technology used for procurement, distribution, and delivery. Otipy sources fresh produce from farmers across Haryana, UP, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.

Otipy is India's first social commerce platform that connects end-consumers to farmers through a community of resellers (mainly women). It is building a scalable, demand-driven, and tech-enabled supply chain for fresh produce that moves farm produce from farm to fork in less than 12 hours giving consumers unparalleled freshness.
We closely work with 5000+ resellers across Delhi-NCR and are already serving over 3 Lakh consumers with fresh produce at their doorstep. Otipy sources fresh fruits and vegetables from 10,000+ farmers across Haryana, UP, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, and many more. Our Mission is to transform the consumption habits of Indian households by providing healthy farm-fresh produce. Providing our farmers technical to modernize farming and buying the product at a fair price every day. Thus creating an interdependent community of farmers and in solving problems for this mass-market leveraging technology ? We are looking for Technical Architect / Principal Engineer Internet/e-Commerce engineering who are passionate about solving this problem and can engineer scalable systems.
Roles And Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance in software design and development activities.


• Assist in maintenance and upgrades of existing software applications.


• Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.


• Provide support in all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and ensure to deliver high-quality products.


• Provide training and mentor other Engineers when required.


• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues in a timely fashion.



• Attain a measurable impact on the work of sub-department teams.


• Develop most effective technical solutions to meet business requirements.


• Work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing and executing assigned tasks within deadlines.


• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities.


• Attend team meetings to communicate project status and discuss new ideas and any issues.


• Recommend new technologies to ensure quality and productivity.


• Assist in technical audits and make sure to implement audit recommendations.
  

Prior Experience Required

• Experience in large-scale microservice-based architecture with cloud computing/AWS


• Experience with distributed computing and with high transaction volume.


• Experience in web application development and associated skills (HTTP, REST,GRPC, web services, etc.) in a high-stakes environment.


• Diverse background with data storage technologies (RDBMS, NoSql, Document Store, in-memory key/value, search systems).


• Experience with distributed systems like Kafka

  Get Hired
  Preferred if experienced with customer-facing websites, AI and ML, Big data, Elasticsearch and kibana.
  

Qualification

• Bachelors/Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from Tier1/ Tier2 institute


• 3 -7 years experience in leading technical teams in the development of complex, enterprise-class software implementations.


• Prior experience of working on any eCommerce application having more than 3L DAU
