Job Description
- As a Finance Assistant at Cummins Inc., you will play a vital role in compiling, consolidating, and analyzing accounting and finance information. You will assist in preparing journal entries, monthly and annual account reconciliations, and creating tables, charts, and exhibits for reports. Additionally, you may participate in basic accounting projects and handle ad hoc reporting requests as needed.
In this role, you will demonstrate competencies such as valuing differences by recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives, being action-oriented to tackle challenges with urgency and enthusiasm, communicating effectively to address the unique needs of various audiences, and maintaining a strong customer focus by delivering customer-centric solutions. You will also exhibit decision-making skills, nimble learning through experimentation, financial analysis to interpret data and provide insights, and knowledge of financial regulations to ensure compliance.
The qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent experience, with minimal or no work experience required. Additionally, you will be responsible for timely and accurate closure of monthly USGAAP reporting, preparation of ARM schedules, support in balance sheet reconciliation, preparation of quarterly local GAAP financials, and active participation in the year-end statutory audit for CIL and CTIPL legal entities.
