In This Role, You Will::The Data Governance Analyst’s main purpose is to support the data governance organization and related Data Governance initiatives with data insights. This role will be assigned to projects on an ad hoc basis maintaining expert knowledge around data quality and data governance tools.
- Specify requirements and responsible for data quality reporting environment
- Perform data analysis (profiling), assist in resolving issues and continuous monitoring of data controls
- Assist Data Stewards in defining controls to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and integrity thorough all upstream and downstream channels
- Assist Data Stewards in assessing the impact of changes to data (e.g. by changes to the IT systems or changes to the meaning of data)
- Advise on data harmonization and data standardization efforts based on data insight knowledge
- Work with data stewards to provide documentation support and build business glossary and data dictionaries
- Work with data stewards to provide support on system process documentation
- Ensure the DG templates contain required information and that it is accessible/known by all stakeholders
- Education: B.Tech/B.E or above
- Work Experience: 2-4 years of industry experience as a data quality or data governance analyst
- Functional Skills: Well versed with data governance/data quality concepts and data reporting/analytical design
- Technical Skills (Required) : Proficient in MS Tools (Visio, PowerPoint and Excel), Hands on experience on data query languages like SQL, Python and data quality tools like IDQ (Informatica Data Quality)
- Technical Skills (Preferred): Analytical tools like Sigma/Tableau, DG tools like Axon, Collibra or EDC etc.
- Ability to provide knowledge in business and IT as well as to provide deep insight in data quality through profiling of data
- Has an analytic mindset and attention for detail
- Ability to perform Data Administration and has Tools and Data Quality Monitoring knowledge
- Escalate issues & attend Governance Working Group Meetings
- Has the ability to develop data lineage and data dictionary
- Supports the data governance initiatives with good documentation skills
