Head - Data Science - Generative AI/LLM

We are seeking an accomplished Head of Data Science with deep expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, NLP and advanced ML/ DL methodologies. The ideal candidate will lead our data science initiatives, focusing on fine-tuning LLMs and implementing RAG inference frameworks to solve complex business challenges. This is a strategic role combining thought leadership, technical expertise, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the data science strategy with a focus on Generative AI and LLM-based solutions.
- Build and manage a high-performing data science team to deliver state-of-the-art AI solutions.
- Lead the fine-tuning and deployment of large-scale LLMs to optimize performance for domain-specific use cases.

- Develop and implement cutting-edge RAG inference frameworks to enhance contextual understanding and information retrieval
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- Experience: 13+ years in data science or machine learning, with at least 2 years of experience in leadership roles focusing on GenAI and LLMs.
- Proficiency in fine-tuning and deploying state-of-the-art LLMs (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5, llama3.1, Mistral).
- Strong knowledge of RAG frameworks and their applications in real-world scenarios.
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and MLOps practices.
- Experience with chatbots/ conversational AI, NLP techniques, vector databases, and embeddings.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire diverse teams of data scientists and engineers.
- Experience with multi-modal AI systems and knowledge graph integration.
- Publications or patents in AI/ML, especially related to LLMs and Generative AI.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
