Position: Senior Manager Production (Electronic Manufacturing Services)

Job Summary
The Manager will lead and oversee all production operations within our manufacturing facilities, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production processes. This role requires strong leadership, deep expertise in electronics manufacturing, and a focus on continuous improvement to meet client demands and company objectives. The Senior Manager will manage production teams, optimize workflows, and ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Manage all aspects of production operations, including PCB assembly, surface-mount technology (SMT), through-hole assembly, testing, and final assembly, to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop production supervisors, technicians, and operators, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Process Optimization: Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and automation technologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure products meet industry standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, ISO 9001) and client specifications, addressing any defects or non-conformances promptly.
- Resource Management: Oversee production equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring optimal utilization, maintenance, and timely upgrades to support production goals.
- Scheduling and Planning: Develop and execute production schedules in coordination with supply chain and sales teams to meet client delivery timelines and inventory requirements.
- Cost Management: Monitor production costs, develop budgets, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all production activities comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and workplace safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001).
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to adopt Industry 4.0 technologies, such as IoT, robotics, and data analytics, to enhance production capabilities and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, supply chain, and client management teams to align production processes with product development and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering, or Diploma in electronics with 20 years experience or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: >20 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a production management or supervisory role within the EMS industry.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, wave soldering, automated testing, and assembly line operations.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate production teams, manage complex workflows, and drive results in a high-pressure environment.

- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with EMS standards (e.g., IPC-A-600, ISO 13485 for medical devices) and global manufacturing best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teams, clients, and stakeholders effectively.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, APICS CPIM, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
