Lead Analyst/Principal Analyst – Macro (Agency MBS)

We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our Macro team within our Financial Research group based in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Gurugram, India. The role involves working closely with portfolio managers and analysts in the firm’s Macro Fixed Income team providing high quality and in-depth support to the investment research and decision processes of the team’s global proprietary trading strategies.
WHAT YOULL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
In this position, you will be responsible for working on quantitative modeling, research and analysis of Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), including but not limited to quantitative and fundamental research, collateral analysis and prepayment modeling across Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae passthroughs and CMOs. You will focus on sector research, theme-based trade and collateral analysis, and relative value. Additionally, you will be working closely with the trading desk and the technology teams in implementing solutions that will help in tracking the sector and individual securities with an objective to identify market opportunities, contribute with trade ideas and help build tools for managing exposures.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Basic qualifications:

• A post-graduation degree, with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in Mortgage-Backed Securities sector
• The ability to collaborate and work closely with technology teams in building dashboards and reports
• Experience in analyzing a large amount of data and deriving insights using machine learning and classical modeling, including financial data, market trends, and investment opportunities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to effectively interact with trading desk/stakeholders
