Lead Analyst/ Principal Analyst - Macro (Equity)

We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Financial Research (FinRes) group based in India. Depending on the candidate’s location preference, the position is open for either of our Hyderabad or Gurugram offices in India. The role involves working closely with portfolio managers and analysts in the firm’s Macro Equities team, providing high-quality and in-depth support to the investment research and decision processes of the team’s global proprietary trading strategies.
What You’ll Do Day-to-day
In this role, you will be expected to build and maintain company financial models, do valuation-related analysis, prepare related write-ups, and present investment ideas to front office groups. You will be required to conduct in-depth benchmarking of valuation and operational metrics (versus peer groups), sensitivity analysis, and scenario analysis. You will be responsible for research coverage for specific companies and sectors of interest to the group. You will also need to collaborate closely with front-office groups to iterate on financial models and investments. Furthermore, you will be expected to attend management, sell-side, intermediary, and sector expert calls, in addition to other related work.
Who We’re Looking For

• The candidate should have a degree in finance or equivalent (Master of Business Administration/Chartered Financial Analyst/Chartered Accountant), with 4-7 years of experience.
• The ideal candidate should possess exceptional financial modelling, accounting, and valuation, fundamental equity research and analysis skills
• Candidate must have equity research experience in international markets
• The candidate should have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
