Position: Procurement Support – MRO & Services

Designation: Assistant Manager

Function: Commercial

Place: Guwahati (RO), Assam

Credentials: Any Graduate / MBA (Should be well versed with SAP MM Module & Ariba Sourcing)

Responsibilities:

• Support in implementation of sourcing strategies and procurement plans for MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) items and services to support the Plant Teams across the region
• Support in end-to-end procurement of engineering spares, consumables, lubricants, tools, maintenance-related services etc.
• Ensure timely processing of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and conversion to Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP
• Coordinate with plant technical teams to understand and prioritize MRO requirements

• Monitor stock levels by closely coordinating with plant commercial teams / stores to ensure adequate inventory
• Use market knowledge to minimize cost and get a jump on long lead items 
• Forge long term relationship with vendors to ensure cost optimization through standardized rate contracts, benchmarking and ensure timely delivery 
• Support in identification, empanelment, and periodic evaluation of vendors
• Ensure maximum consolidation of the requirements across the region to facilitate cost optimization through economies of scale 
• Ensure compliance & proper documentation in the sourcing and procurement process as per organisational SOP, DOA and statutory compliances
• Preparation and circulation of MIS reports to concerned internal stakeholders
• Analyze and benchmark with competitors and explore alternate means of procurement in line with the cost optimization strategies of the organization
