Job Description
As our Sales Development Manager for Water Segment for sensing solutions in Danfoss Climate solutions, youll play a key role in identifying, monitoring and analysing water segment trends in India to uncover opportunities for Sensing Solutions products. Drive growth through channel partners, distributors, and integrators, ensuring alignment with Danfoss energy efficiency goals in India region. Engaging within a dynamic cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders from other teams to enhance market reach and enable growth of Sensing Solutions products. Develop strategies and initiatives to expand adoption of Sensing Solutions in water applications, Smart Irrigation, Pumping System, Network Pressure management and Fire Pump systems.
What Youll Be Doing
- Drive sales growth for Sensing Solutions across water segment applications — including Smart Irrigation, Pumping Systems, Network Pressure Management, and Fire Pump systems — by developing channel partners, distributors, and integrators
- Build and share deep market and customer insights across cross-functional teams, using competitor analysis and emerging trends to shape commercial strategies and identify new opportunities
- Manage a quality opportunity pipeline by visiting customers, presenting tailored solutions, and introducing new products that align with evolving needs
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand channel market reach, including energy-efficient projects with measurable impact on focus applications
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to position Danfoss solutions effectively, driving marketing activities while fostering a customer-centric, one-company culture
- 6+ years in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development within sensors or industrial products, with a Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics preferred) and a curiosity for deepening technical and commercial expertise
- 2–3 years of experience in channel business and water segment projects, with an eagerness to explore new applications and expand into adjacent market opportunities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce, with working familiarity of SAP and BI tools — and a willingness to learn new systems and processes as the role evolves
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to listen, influence, and collaborate seamlessly across cross-functional teams
- Comfortable with regular travel (approximately 15 days per month) and energised by building relationships, adapting to diverse customer environments, and continuously refining your approach based on feedback
