Job Description
- As a User Assistance Developer (Technical Writer) for the SIMULIA brand, you will utilize your technical and communication skills to create user assistance (UA) that supports a new generation of engineering applications. Engineers and designers utilize our simulation software within intricate, collaborative engineering workflows across various industries such as aerospace, automotive, consumer electronics, clean energy, and healthcare. Your main goal is to assist highly skilled simulation analysts and designers in learning and utilizing our simulation solutions effectively to complete their end-to-end workflows.
You will be responsible for gaining comprehensive knowledge of the capabilities and value of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Additionally, you will become the documentation expert for the SIMULIA software subject areas assigned to you, ensuring that the quality, technical accuracy, and customer focus are maintained in all deliverables. Your tasks will include gathering technical information through hands-on software testing, reviewing specifications, and collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders. You will write and edit user guides, in-app user assistance, videos, industry-based engineering examples, and tutorials. Furthermore, you will work on information architecture projects, prototype and deliver new user assistance delivery mechanisms, and utilize user assistance analytics data to ensure the delivered assistance meets users" needs. Providing usability feedback while regularly using SIMULIA products will also be part of your responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Required Skills:
- Experience in writing end-user technical documentation is a plus.
- Ability to explain complex engineering applications to users.
- Passion for merging engineering, teaching, and assisting others.
- Ability to comprehend engineering and business requirements by collaborating with users and product managers.
- Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.

- Knowledge of Abaqus/CAE or any FEA software is a plus.
