Job Description
- You will be working as an ETL Tester at Dataceria in Bangalore, with 4 to 8 years of experience. The role involves developing and maintaining test, data validation frameworks within the Data Services team. Your responsibilities will include ensuring stability of data pipelines and metadata management, providing technical support, and addressing data-related issues for Product, Data, and Design teams.
You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with both business partners and technical staff. Prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting project expectations within timelines is essential. Strong client management, interpersonal, decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be proactive in pressure situations are required competencies.
Ideal candidates should have a bachelor's or associate degree in computer science or a related field, with 5 to 10 years of experience in Data Engineering and Testing roles. Proficiency in SQL Testing, particularly with Snowflake, along with DB & API Test Automation expertise is necessary. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, and basic to intermediate level Java/Python Programming for test automation is preferred.
You will be responsible for creating and validating database stored procedures, SQL scripts, and test cases, ensuring quality and consistency of data in the platform. Collaborating with data analytics experts and SMEs, you will analyze, organize, and validate raw data for accuracy and reliability to improve functionality and efficiency within the data ecosystem.
Experience in Agile methodologies, cloud computing architecture, GIT, Power BI reporting, and familiarity with tools like Airflow for data pipeline and workflow management is beneficial. You will also be involved in executing tests using Jenkins or any other CI/CD platform, understanding data-driven keyword or hybrid test automation frameworks, and ensuring application security through the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Overall, this role requires exceptional problem-solving, analytical thinking, teamwork, and collaboration skills. Strong experience in SQL Query, DB/ETL Testing, Data warehouse Testing, API Test Automation, and an intermediate level of Core Java/Python programming are mandatory requirements. Experience in UI Automation using Selenium, CI/CD execution using any platform, and Power BI reporting are considered good to have skills.
