Job Description
- As a Relationship Manager in the Corporate and Investment Banking division of DBS, your primary responsibility will be to manage and sustain a portfolio of corporate customers. Your focus will be on building long-term relationships with these clients by providing efficient and reliable support for their businesses. You will collaborate with product groups and colleagues both locally and internationally to expand our client base and increase wallet share from existing and new customers.
Your key accountabilities will include managing relationships with corporate clients through continuous interaction and account mapping at various levels within client organizations. You will be responsible for determining the most effective products to meet customer needs and selling them both reactively and proactively. Additionally, you will work towards implementing and executing the IBG1 business strategy to increase market share and achieve revenue targets.
In this role, you will also be expected to ensure high customer retention and increase wallet share by monitoring customer satisfaction levels, regulatory reporting, and compliance. You will play a crucial role in developing the DBS brand in the region, researching market segments, and building and leading a high-performing team through performance development and coaching.
Your job duties will involve being the primary contact at the CEO, Finance Director, and Treasurer levels in corporate client offices, discussing customer needs, service reviews, and credit risk issues. You will work towards growing the team's portfolio profitability, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to risk management guidelines and policies. Developing business development strategies, conducting client calling plans, and monitoring customer surveys and complaints will also be part of your responsibilities.
To excel in this role, you should have 7-12 years of experience in corporate banking, with a proven track record in corporate and commercial banking. An MBA or CA with relevant banking experience is preferred. You should possess strong selling and negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, sound financial counseling skills, and a rigorous approach to problem-solving.
