Senior Engineer / Manager Formworks

Job Title: Senior Engineer Formworks / Manager Formworks (8 to 15 Years) Industrial Construction and Infrastructure Construction Projects

Location - Mundra, Gujarat

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer Formworks / Manager Formworks to lead planning, design, and execution of formwork systems for large-scale industrial (Thermal / Solar / Chemical Plants) , infrastructure and commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Formwork Planning & Design

• Review structural drawings and plan suitable shuttering/formwork systems for circular, rectangular, conical, and other complex structures, including industrial tanks.
  
• Select and design appropriate formwork systems based on structural requirements, schedule priorities, and cost efficiency:
  
• Conventional Formwork (plywood, steel, channel supports)
  
• System Formwork (Mivan, Doka, Peri, MFE, Hnnebeck)
  
• Slipform / Jumpform Systems (for silos, shafts, chimneys)
  
• 
  Tunnel / Table Formwork (for repetitive RCC units)
  
• Customized Curved & Circular Formwork (for tanks/round structures)
  
• Optimize formwork layouts for faster cycle time and maximum reuse.
  

2. Execution & Supervision

• Lead on-site formwork activities with high standards of safety, precision, and timetable adherence.
  
• Supervise fabrication, assembly, alignment, and striking/dismantling of formwork.
  
• Ensure surface finish and dimensional accuracy as per approved drawings.
  

3. Material & Resource Management

• Control and track formwork inventory (panels, beams, ties, clamps, staging, etc.).
  
• Plan reuse cycles to reduce material loss and minimize wastage.
  
• Ensure timely mobilization of formwork systems as per construction sequences.
  

4. Safety & Quality Assurance

• Ensure load-bearing adequacy, bracing, and overall formwork stability prior to concreting.
  
• Implement formwork inspection protocols and pre-pour checklists.
  
• Train site engineers and supervisors on safe formwork use, handling, and dismantling.
  

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Execution, Planning, QA/QC, and other departments for pour sequences.
  
• Prepare and share daily/weekly progress reports, material utilization, and formwork reuse statistics.
  
• Suggest improvements for cost optimization, cycle-time improvement, and technical efficiencies.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience: 8 to15 years in industrial projects (Thermal, Solar, Chemical plants) or commercial RCC structures.
  
• Qualification: Diploma / BE / BTech in Civil Engineering.
  
• Hands-on expertise with Mivan, Doka, Peri, Slipform, Jumpform, Conventional & Modular formwork systems.
  
• Strong knowledge of formwork planning for complex shapes and large RCC structures.
