AOSP Engineer

About the Role:

As an AOSP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Android-based solutions for automotive applications. Responsibilities

• Develop and customize AOSP for automotive applications.
• Implement and optimize HAL components for seamless hardware-software integration.
• Work on Android Framework and System Services to enhance performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system architects, UI/UX designers, and embedded engineers.
• Debug and resolve low-level system issues.
• Configuring and modifying various media stacks, including audio, graphics, and other multimedia components.
• Maintain a structured development process using Git, Gerrit, and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• B.Tech/M.Tech Computer, Communication, or Electronics Engineering or similar.
• 1 3 years of hands-on experience in AOSP development.
• Proficiency in one of the following langue Java, Kotlin, or C++ for Android system development.
• Experience with Android HAL, Native Daemons, and Android Framework Components.
• Understanding of Linux kernel and device drivers.
• Familiarity with Android Build System (Soong, Make, Bazel) and debugging tools (adb, logcat, GDB, perf, systrace).
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and build systems (CMake, Ninja).

Nice-To-Have:

• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
• Knowledge of SELinux, Android Security Model, and bootloaders.
• Understanding of CAN, LIN, or Ethernet communication in automotive.
• Experience with real-time systems and embedded programming.
