WMS Specialist

DGF UAE has an opening for a WMS Specialist. You will support to develop and administer IT applications development & integration plans and processes in line with business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies. This role will support Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other IT applications by testing, debugging, and maintenance of the WMS and developing new functionalities as per business requirements.

Key Tasks

• Support administration of IT applications development & integration plans and processes to provide new and revised applications systems and programs
• Manage, prioritize, troubleshoot, and resolve IT incidents as per the defined SLA through IT helpdesk tools.
• Provide technical assistance to end users and customers for Warehouse Management System and other IT functional applications.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and business units or customers (when needed) in problem solving and incident resolutions.
• Develop code or modify application components based on design specifications adhering to programming standards, techniques and methodologies
• Prepare and/ or maintain programming documentation, procedures and methods, and solution specific documents.
• Prepare specifications of integration of new application functional objects with existing application components
• Identify and define application integration points with other internal and external systems
• Administer maintenance and problem resolution on single or multiple applications or interfaces
• Support to identify opportunities for improving application functionality and performance issues by working with customers and architecture resources
• Define test cases, conditions, checklists, decision tables, systems controls and auditability checks. Assist with facilitation of the test process by co ordinating with internal testing team and customers.
• Assist with facilitation of the test process including structuring, facilitating or participating in reviews and inspections. Assist in the technical testing for new releases, upgrades, new functionalities, customer integrations as well as any other required changes in the existing application software.
• Develop, document, and communicate test processes, requirements, procedures, results and standards
• Obtain and document approvals for various stages of application development & integration and testing process
• Identify and resolve recurring issues, and suggest modifications for IT applications development & integration work methods focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency
• May provide functional guidance, advice or training to less experienced positions
• Set up and configure Warehouse management system and develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar tools.
