Job Description



The purpose of the job is to direct and coordinate all continuous improvement topics/projects for our Global Service Centers, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and optimal performance in accordance with corporate and divisional objectives, strategy, and plans.




Job responsibilities:






General Management




  • Define and executes key initiatives for process excellence including continuous improvement across all GSC's center and all service lines.

  • Accounts for GSC's operational results and leads operational disciplines that coordinate and control highly strategic activities, initiatives, and subjects across the region with significant impact on overall results and/or very high business risk potential

  • Defines performance indicators to measure process dimensions, process improvements, operational service, and quality targets for the GSC in line with DPDHL and divisional guidelines (including Operational reporting & Operational KPI definition).

  • Determines and develops process excellence and performance improvement projects within the GSCs and takes decisions following DPDHL protocols and standards.

  • Drives standardization across all service lines and centers, provides the highest level of advice and recommendations on operational matters to the GSC Senior Management team and publishes and approves operational guidelines.

  • Drives Quality management and assurance including GSC internal audits, manages any DPDHL internal audits and external audits, and ensures follow-up on actions defined.

  • Takes responsibility for further development of business process improvement methodology and tools.

  • Continuity Processes across delivery platforms (five human delivery centers globally and one virtual delivery center)

  • Drives for productivity improvements including utilization of virtual delivery center (i.e. RPA).

  • Oversees and leads capability building across all sites

  • Drives decision-making process for service site selection of new business






Organizational process/ method/ service advancement



  • Introduces and steers innovation across GSC's process improvement, increasing effectiveness and efficiency

  • Analyzes complex multi-dimensional issues to extensively and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques

  • Benchmarks operations against market, political/regulatory positions and competition as well as implements best practices and knowledge sharing





Stakeholder Management




  • Establish, initiate and develop long-term relationships and alliances with strategic internal and external business partners, stakeholders, third parties, and the captive and non-captive BPO/Shared Service Industry.

  • Builds and develops a comprehensive understanding of the global sector and customer requirements, suppliers, competitor activities, and market trends to influence the direction of major projects.

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships at the top and senior levels across all functional teams and business partners.







Finance & projects



  • Approves all major business process improvement projects




People Management





  • Recruits and develops members of the operational excellence team; keeps them motivated and oversees their task assignments.

  • Decides on key personnel for Operational Excellence

  • Generates commitment, motivation, and enthusiasm to the GSC, Division, and DP DHL.

  • Leads and manages teams; determines team structure, roles, and performance targets in cooperation with Global and Local Management Teams.

  • Evaluates performance and proposes performance-based compensation for direct reports.

  • 15+ years of relevant experience in Operational Excellence function with leadership responsibility

  • Intercultural Communication Skills

  • Excellent Analytical skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Operational Processes and improvement methodology (as Lean / Six Sigma or Automation)

  • Negotiation Skills

  • Executive Presence

  • Strategic Thinking

  • Project Management Skills

  • Performance management experience

  • MBB qualified or certified with at least 10 years of experience managing and driving six-sigma projects






Geographical experience




  • High international exposure and related experience




Qualification




  • University degree in business studies
