Job Description





Job Purpose







  • Assisting RCO in oversight and monitoring of implementation of in local country operations.


  • Ensure compliance policies ( e.g. Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics Policy) are implemented in the country, ensure adherence to compliance standards, legal requirements.


  • Maintain compliance processes in the country including, but not limited to, incident management, business partner screening, compliance risk assessment, hospitality reporting, handling of customer compliance requests and compliance reporting.


  • Ensure identified compliance risks are brought to the attention of the RCO


  • Align with / inform to RCO on risks associated with emerging business strategies


  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Internal Audit, Communication, HR, Business Development, Finance, Legal, Security and Operations


  • Serve as an independent body for advice on ethical issues, conflicts of interest and any other compliance matters.


  • Coordinate for implementation of Compliance Management System (CMS) and data protection program for DGF India


  • Develop country compliance / data protection initiatives (as applicable)

  • Identify and agree with DGF India Management and the RCO the compliance/ data protection needs


  • Coordinate for implementation of Compliance Management System (CMS) and data protection program for DGF India

  • Accountabilities internally

    Working in close alignment with the Country Management, Functions, Regional Compliance Office DGFF, the CM is accountable for:

  • Stimulating buy-in on compliance as a business priority


  • Acting as a strong communication link between Regional/Country level


  • Rolling out communication initiatives


  • Managing a process for reporting compliance incidents to RCO, including investigating & reporting compliance-related policy breaches as advised by RCO


  • Provide insight, best practice, guidance and integrated compliance solutions to business


  • Promoting Compliance policies, including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption & Business Ethics Policy, DPDHL Data Protection and rules set forth for gifts, entertainment, sponsored events & hospitality


  • Managing a process for identifying and authorising gifts, entertainment, sponsored events & hospitality in line with Global policies

  • In partnership with the business, ensuring adequate preparation for internal audits of significant compliance risks and coordinate of prompt responses to audit findings under RCO guidance


  • Driving training initiatives and other methods to raise awareness of compliance/ data protection issues


  • Facilitating regular compliance risk workshops at country business unit level, identifying and managing compliance risks according to the Global Compliance Risk Catalogue including recording, maintenance and follow-up of the results and activities


  • Completing and storing various answers and documentations to customer compliance requests in close cooperation with relevant Business Units


  • Issuing regular comprehensive compliance reports to Country Management & RCO


  • Participating in and contributing to workshops, meetings, teleconferences and jour fixe of the RCO and (ad hoc) projects


  • Being a highly visible “central point of contact” in the country for all matters related to compliance / data protection and promoting a culture of openness for reporting compliance concerns or risks.


  • Accountabilities externally

    CM has to cooperate and communicate the compliance activities with external parties:

  • Support the Business Development community, with customer compliance requests, including; conveying DGFF’s compliance activities and policies to customers, getting the customer’s acceptance of DGFF’s position on compliance, or agreeing a mutually acceptable solution


  • Keep up-to date with compliance-specific developments, cases, (local) legislations and topics in the country




  • Completion of Compliance Awareness Training Rate


  • Implementation of Compliance Program various elements


  • Implementation of Data protection program for India


  • Adherence to given deadlines for country tasks.


  • Executing all due risk assessments & ensuring closure of all identified mitigation actions.







  • Education / Qualification / Certification



    GRADUATE/ POST GRADUATE FROM A REPUTED UNIVERSITY/ INSTITUTE

    Any Compliance certifcation is a Plus
