Job Purpose
To actively assist the unit in executing C&IB/Business Banking Treasury transactions to drive revenue streams. Manage and support the team in the day to day administration/position keeping and revenue figures. To build relations both internally (RM’s) and externally (customers) to aid business growth. Help to produce end of month reports in conjunction with the unit head.
Key Accountabilities
Indirect responsibility for assistance in the development, & execution of the Sales Budget.
Assist in ensuring that RM’s/SRMs are identifying, introducing, planning & assisting in the execution of target business (Bespoke Treasury Solutions for clients – Conventional + Islamic).
Undertake competency & technical training (internal & external).
To provide an execution service for FX & MM and Commodity products (Conventional + Islamic) for all customers – Internal and external.
Develop customer relationships, both internally and externally, through customer visits in coordination with Treasury unit heads and RMs.
Develop over all treasury product knowledge across all asset classes.
Basic knowledge of hedging solutions, market terminology & risk associated with SME, Semi Corporates & Commercial firms across basic product lines (FX & MM).
To assist with production of presentations and delivery to the correct and appropriate customers on time.
Job Context
Given that C&IB is setup in the form of segments representing various industries.
The Treasury Sales Team representative in question is expected to gain industry knowledge over a period of time and bring themselves up to a required standard to fully cover the business banking desk over a working day.
For instance, in case of Marine & Energy, the individual must possess knowledge of Oil Products, Distillates, Hedging Products, Product Specifications, Credit Applications, Exchanges, CSA etc.
Similar rationale applies to other segments with the individual required to gain sufficient knowledge/exposure to hedging needs, price exploration and execution.
Education
Bachelors Degree in Economics/ Commerce/Business studies or similar
