Titan is looking to hire a Tax Specialist based out of Mumbai to own and be accountable for the management of end-to-end direct tax for our group in India and overseas. You will be a part of the tax team and reporting to the tax head.
Ideally, you will be a Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 4-5 years work experience in the taxation vertical, preferably in a Service/ IT industry or a B2B SaaS industry or FinTech space or reputed mid size CA firm / Big 4.
What will you do?

• Ensure timely direct and indirect tax compliance in India as well overseas geographies for the Zeta group entities


• Support the team in planning and implementing tax efficient policies / transactions


• TAX COMPLIANCE AND ADVISORY:


• Update and track annual Indian and overseas tax compliance calendar


• Prepare advance tax computations, get it reviewed from team leader and ensure timely payments



• Prepare / review, finalise and file direct tax returns in India and overseas jurisdictions in a timely manner


• Responsible for filing tax audit reports, transfer pricing compliance, equalisation levy compliance etc.


• Responsible to handle all tax related information data requests, review of documents, maintain backup files, coordinate with auditors, consultants etc.


• Review of transfer pricing and withholding tax policy of the group


• Maintain status of Indian and global direct tax assessments, demands and refunds


• Must possess good technical knowledge to interpret tax laws and treaties


• TRACK UPDATES AND DEVELOPMENTS IN TAX LAWS:


• Stay abreast with the latest changes in Indian as well as overseas tax laws which primarily have an impact on the group entities, primarily related to Equalisation Levy, Royalty and SaaS taxability, DTAA’s;


• Discuss the implications of the developments with the team leads


• LITIGATIONS (added advantage)


• Responsible for drafting / reviewing, filing of tax submissions and completion of tax assessment


• Follow up with tax authorities for tax assessment/reassessments, order giving effects, refunds, appeals, notices, summons, etc

Get Hired
• CA with minimum 4 years of post qualification experience in direct and indirect tax compliance and advisory


• Exposure to various overseas jurisdictions (Singapore, USA, Brazil, UAE etc) in which group operates will be an added advantage


• Proven work experience as a tax manager or similar role


• Knowledge of Indian direct taxes, international tax, DTAA, etc.


• Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns


• Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with various inter-departmental stakeholders to collate any required information
