Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant Payroll Tax & Corporate Tax to oversee corporate taxation, payroll tax compliance, and reporting for UK & Ireland operations. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with tax regulations, manage tax filings, and provide strategic tax planning support. This role requires deep expertise in corporation tax, payroll tax (PAYE, NIC), and UK & Irish tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate Tax Compliance: Prepare and file corporation tax returns for UK & Ireland entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC and Irish Revenue guidelines.
- Payroll Tax (PAYE & NIC): Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance Contributions (NIC), and other payroll-related tax obligations.
- VAT & Withholding Tax: Assist in VAT and withholding tax compliance, ensuring timely reporting and reconciliation.
- Tax Planning & Advisory: Provide guidance on corporate tax structures, tax efficiencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
- HMRC & Revenue Liaison: Manage correspondence and audits with HMRC and Irish Revenue, ensuring smooth resolution of tax matters.
- Transfer Pricing Compliance: Assist in documentation and reporting related to intercompany transactions and transfer pricing regulations.
- Financial Reporting & Provisions: Support the preparation of tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and year-end tax reporting.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes and improve reporting efficiencies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal finance teams, auditors, and external tax consultants to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate tax and payroll tax compliance for UK & Ireland.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of UK & Irish corporate tax laws, payroll taxation, and international tax considerations.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with tax software, payroll systems, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or other accounting platforms. Advanced Excel skills preferred.
