As an ideal candidate, you have proven experience in maritime domain. Have good understanding of port clearance activities. Someone who loves working with technology and understands maritime data.
Objectives of this Role
- Work with Navigator Port team to research & analyze maritime data.
- Work with Navigator Port team to keep the database up to date.
- Gather required information from various data sources globally over internet and by other available means.
- Research maritime regulatory changes to support customers with compliance.
- Deliver analysis and project tasks to strict deadlines and milestones.
- Identify any data discrepancies in time proactively and provide necessary corrections.
- Work closely with Product and technical teams.
- Learn & improve programming skills as tasks demand.
- Work remotely and take ownership of the work.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 2-5 years’ industry experience as a maritime professional either onboard as navigating officer or onshore with port services. We would also consider experienced cadets.
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
- Previous experience with data collection and management.
- Thorough understanding of Ship operations.
- Strong understanding of Port clearance activities.
- Sound knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pro-activeness and eagerness to get things done
- Keen interest in keeping abreast of maritime rules and regulations.
- Experience with Python & SQL is good to have.
- Initiative-taking in learning programming for completing tasks.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in creating quality documentation based on analysis.
