Role Summary
The incumbent should have data engineering experience in enterprise data management, enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, data modeling, ETL/ELT, query optimization, and data engineering design patterns inclusive of structured and unstructured data. Should know how to build reports using at least one common BI tool (MicroStrategy, BusinessObjects, QuickSight, Looker).
Primary Responsibilities

• Ability to synthesize business and functional requirements with design solutions
• Ability to Dive deep into data technology via end-to-end hands-on contributions to data projects, including data modeling, data pipeline development, data lineage, data management, reporting, and descriptive and diagnostic analytics.
• Write automated unit, integration, regression, and performance tests continuously enhancing as needed.
• Build data quality methods and measurements for high quality data pipeline results.
• Get the data into the hands of the customers.
• Develop and publish reports, maintain and enhance the underlying structures, handle maintenance and administration of BI tools, make sure we’re using the right data sources behind those tools
• Leverage the technical expertise to constantly raise the bar and ensure the team delivers extraordinary results – focusing on creating value, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
• Strive to thoroughly understand customer, business and stakeholder needs, and provide effective data solutions to meet those needs.
• Develop, communicate, and maintain architectural, design, and lineage documentation.
• Perform hands-on investigative technical analysis and be a data literacy advocate to the business community.
• Ensure continuous and optimal production performance measured against data driven statistics
  

Required Skills

• Bachelor in Engineering (B.E./ B.Tech Degree) with 7 -12 Years of relevant experience
• Proficient in Oracle - PL/SQL, data warehouse design, ETL technologies (such as Informatica, Pentaho, and Talend), Python, Redshift, SQL mastery, BI technologies (such as MicroStrategy, Business Objects, QuickSight, Looker), related AWS data technologies (such as Athena, Glue, Airflow, DMS), Java (bonus), Scala (bonus)
• Good understanding of Data Engineering domain future roadmap
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical skills and results-driven
